This script is a highly customized mod of the excellent script C.ai Custom Chat Bubbles by @redsus.vn.

What has changed in this mod?

• Removed: The Advanced Options tab (such as bypass and export features) has been removed to keep the focus entirely on UI personalization.
• Added: A massive extension of aesthetic features, color picker integration (Coloris), particles customized name/avatar settings, more preset styles, and subtle UI tweaks.

✨ Features

🎨 1. Rich Bubble Styling & Library

Choose from dozens of highly stylized pre-made bubble presets, the same bubble themes from the original script. Those remain intact.

⚙️ 2. Advanced Personalization Controls

Don't want presets? Build your own look:

• Custom Colors: Fully interactive, real-time color pickers (powered by Coloris) for both User and AI bubble backgrounds and text.
• Particles: Bring your chats to life with a variety of fun particle effects.
• Custom Typography: Change fonts, font size, line height, letter spacing, text alignment, custom italic/bold color, text border, text shadow.
• Border & Shadow Customization: Adjust bubble corners (border-radius), border widths, and apply custom outer or inner drop shadows.
• Global Customization: Set custom chat backgrounds (solid colors/images/videos), custom avatars, and change display names for both yourself and the bots.
• Custom presets: If you've created your own style, save it with any name you like. Download and share it (Avatar settings are excluded in case you use the same preset for different bots). You can save as many presets as you like.
• Custom theme: Now you can also customize panels and dialogs with your favorite color, choosing a glass or matte style.

(Adv. Bubbles tab is only available for Default themes. All media is added via link. Supported formats: jpg, png, webp, gif, [also mp4 & Youtube links for video backgrounds].)

🛠️ 3. Quality-of-Life Enhancements

• Message Drafts: Saves your typed messages per bot, preventing you from losing progress if you accidentally refresh or close the tab.
• Hide Edited Marks: Keeps your chat looking clean and seamless by hiding the "Edited" label on modified messages.
• Hide Distractors (Early injection): Removes distracting platform elements like warning banners, beta feeds, or "Labs" links automatically before the page even finishes rendering.
• Enter key behavior: Whether you're a storyteller or a oneliner, this script adapts to your preferences. You can have the Enter key insert a new line, or send the message directly, just like in any chat application.
• Double brackets: Tired of closing quotation marks and asterisks? Now you can save time with the auto-close function. Just type the opening symbol and the closing symbol will be added automatically.
• Metering viewer: Now you can see how many swipes, go-ons, and memos you have left. Includes alerts when you're nearing your daily limit.
• Download chat: Never lose your memories. You can download the chat in txt format as sample messages, or in HTML format which includes a link to the chat and the bot's author.
• BONUS: Access to Memory Box and Facts synced with the app!

⚠️ Disclaimer & Known Issues

The Latest Bot Message (3D Swipe Carousel) Bug: Due to the way Character.ai dynamically renders the very last message from a bot (which wraps around a 3D carousel container to let you swipe for alternative responses), you might notice minor visual quirks on just that single bubble.

• Symptoms: 1) Custom shadows, borders, or background clipping might look slightly misaligned, cut off, or default to the original structure on the newest active message. 2) The more you swipe, the more laggy it becomes
• Workaround: 1) Once you generate a new user message or send another response, the previous bot bubble will render perfectly as a completed static message. 2) Just reload the page.

Reset avatar after using a valid/invalid link: If you use a valid or invalid link for the customized avatar, you'll have to reload the page after resetting (Reset Avatar & Name) to revert to the original avatar. I don't know how to fix that yet.

Particles & Immersive Mode may cause RAM/battery consumption: I'm still working to optimize it.

Black flicker in background video: If the video is from YouTube, there's a black flicker when it loops. I haven't been able to fix this. Longer videos are recommended, or you can use short videos from other repositories like Imgur or Archive.

🚀 How to Use

1. Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey.
2. Install this script.
3. Open any chat on Character.ai.
4. Look for the floating 🎨 (Palette) button on your screen.

• Pro-tip: You can drag and drop this button anywhere on your screen, and its position will be saved!

Note: Tested on PC (Windows - Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and Tablet (Android 11 - Firefox Mobile, Edge Canary). I don't own any Apple devices, so I don't know if it will work on iOS.
