Downloads MP4, WEBM, MP3 or subtitles from YouTube + option to redirect Shorts to normal videos.
Settings:
- Quality: From 8K down to audio-only
- Codecs: h264, vp9, or av1
- Supported Service Providers:
- Cobalt WEB (recommended for Cobalt)
- Cobalt API (direct download)
- yt5s
- ytmp3 (most stable)
- 5smp3
- yt1s
Tested with Violentmonkey.
⚠️ Notice:
Use Cobalt_WEB instead of Cobalt_API (public instances can run out of bandwidth or trigger bot protections), or provide your own instance.
Self-hosted Cobalt instance: (see Cobalt Docs) Just change the // @connect domain in the metadata header and the provider url in the script.
