This policy explains what Youhou8 collects and how it is used. We keep the policy practical and limited to operating a userscript repository.
Information you provide
When you register or manage an account, we may store your username, email address, password hash, language preference, account role, session records, and account recovery information. When you publish content, we store script source, metadata, descriptions, groups, applicable websites, update data, and related moderation records.
Automatically collected information
The server may process IP address, browser user agent, request path, referrer, timestamps, rate-limit counters, cookies, and basic operational logs. These records help keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, operate Docker and reverse-proxy services, and maintain reliable script downloads.
Cookies
Youhou8 uses cookies for login sessions, language preference, security checks, and normal site operation. You can clear browser cookies, but some account and language features may stop working until you sign in again or choose a language again.
We use email for registration verification, password reset, and important account messages. Email delivery may be handled by a third-party SMTP provider configured by the site operator. We do not ask for your email password.
Public content
Usernames, script pages, script metadata, descriptions, groups, install links, update times, ratings, applicable websites, and public profile information may be visible to visitors and search engines. Do not publish private information in scripts or descriptions.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect the service from abuse or security threats, or to operate infrastructure such as hosting, DNS, SSL, email, and anti-bot services.
Retention
We retain account and script records as long as needed for site operation, moderation, legal obligations, backups, and abuse prevention. Some logs and rate-limit records are kept for shorter operational periods.
