Universal Image Host Interceptor

A lightweight and efficient userscript that opens the best available direct/full-size image on supported image-hosting sites, while avoiding unnecessary ads, interstitial pages, and redirect loops.

✨ FEATURES

• Stealth Mode

On supported hosts that require it, the original page is hidden immediately while the script searches for the direct image.

This helps prevent ads, popups, and intermediate page content from flashing on screen.

• Gateway & Interstitial Bypass

Automatically handles supported "Continue to image" pages and intermediate overlays on hosts such as ImageBam, ImgDrive, ImageVenue, and Imx.

Includes protection against repeated redirect/click loops where required.

• Direct / Full-Size Image Detection

Detects the best available image URL using host-specific methods such as:

• Direct image links
• Open Graph metadata
• Image source elements
• Full-size URL patterns
• HD/original image probes
• Host-specific page data

Pixhost thumbnails are automatically replaced with their full-size image when available.

• Clean Image Viewer

Once the image is detected, the original page is replaced with a minimal dark viewer containing only the image.

Large images are automatically scaled down to fit the Firefox window width without being upscaled.

Vertical scrolling remains available for tall images.

• Lightweight Monitoring

Uses requestAnimationFrame, MutationObserver, throttled DOM checks, and a short polling fallback to detect images that appear dynamically.

Watchers automatically stop once the image is found or after a limited timeout.

• Reduced Page Activity

When the final image is found, the script stops the original page loading where possible, clears the existing page content, and prevents newly inserted <script> and <iframe> elements from being added to the clean viewer.

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS

The script runs at document-start and selects a specialized handler for the current image host.

Depending on the host, it can:

1. Hide the original page while processing.
2. Detect or reconstruct the direct/full-size image URL.
3. Handle supported intermediate or "Continue" pages.
4. Stop unnecessary page activity once the image has been found.
5. Replace the original page with a clean image-only viewer.

The script uses host-specific detection rather than blindly redirecting every image-hosting page.
