Not Another Torn Tool - Halloween

A companion for Torn's Trick or Treat event, built for first-year players and up. It adds a 🎃 icon to the Information header in your sidebar. Click it to open the panel.

0.7.8: updated to ensure strict compliance with Torn's scraping rules.

Credits

Thanks to the players who helped improve this script:

  • Queeny [2878286]: rebuilt treat and basket tracking, Halloween log scanning, per-account data, a stricter Xanax and overdose stacking schedule, fresher M'aol checks, updated flight times and several data fixes (0.7.6).

  • Bohr [2645473]: worked out how the 2026 basket shows upgrades and the lifetime banner, and fixed open tabs overwriting each other's data (0.7.6).

Now tab: your energy coach

  • Tells you when to take a Xanax, pop an FHC or drink a can, based on your live cooldowns.

  • Handles the end-of-event squeeze: your last FHC, the cans before it, or skipping them if time runs out.

  • Warns you when something is ready but you're too close to the 1,000 energy cap.

  • Flags paused regen, your daily refill, and when to exchange treats for energy.

  • Tracks FHCs, cans, Xanax and refills used, and your attack pace against your target.

  • Hospital mode: tells you what still matters while you wait, and suggests a revive.

  • A red dot on the 🎃 shows when there's something to do.

🍬 Candy target button

  • One click opens the attack page of an easy target, like FFScouter's FF button.

  • In Torn: pulls targets from FFScouter, filtered by level, fair fight, inactive and factionless.

  • Abroad: reads the People page while you're on it and finds the weakest players in that country.

  • Checks each target's status first and skips anyone in hospital, jail, flying or elsewhere.

Basket and Plan tabs

  • Lifetime treats, basket level, progress to the next basket and your treat chance.

  • All 20 upgrades in the recommended order, with the next buy and how many treats you need.

  • Warns you not to attack without a basket.

M'aol tab

  • Watches M'aol and his five minions from the Torn API: location, life and status.

  • Shows in the panel when M'aol lands in your chosen country. No sounds or pop-ups.

  • Minion hunt list, nearest first, with attack links.

  • "Leave Torn by" times for every country once you enter the summon time.

  • Business Class or standard flight times.

Setup

  • Install, then click the 🎃 in your sidebar.

  • In Settings, paste a Limited Access API key.

  • Set your event start slot (TCT) and your plan: FHCs, Xanax, booster cap, sleep.

  • For the candy button, register your key at ffscouter.com.

Rules and privacy

  • Display only. It never attacks, buys, uses items or clicks anything for you. Every action is yours.

  • No extra page loads. It never requests Torn pages. Everything comes from the Torn API or the page you already have open.

  • It only reads the page you're actively using: the tab is in front, focused, and you've clicked, typed or scrolled in the last 2 minutes. A background tab reads nothing and makes no API calls.

  • No sounds, desktop notifications or alerts to other tabs. Everything shows in the panel only.

  • Your key stays in your browser. It is only sent to api.torn.com and, if you use the candy button, ffscouter.com. Abroad, the player IDs on the People page are also sent to FFScouter to get their fair fight.

  • Read-only API calls, well under Torn's rate limit.

Notes

  • Lifetime treats come from your basket page and your Halloween logs. Open your basket to sync. A manual fix is in the Log tab if a count looks off.

  • M'aol tracking uses the IDs from 2024 and 2025. If Torn changes them, that tab will show nothing.

  • Flight times are approximate.

Works in Tampermonkey and TornPDA.

Changelog

0.7.9 (2026-10-20)

  • Fixed the boss's name: M'aol, not Ma'ol.

0.7.8 (2026-10-20)

Brought in line with Torn's updated scripting rules on scraping.

  • Page reads now need you to be using the page. The basket, upgrades, People list and attack text are only read while the tab is in front, focused, and you've clicked, typed, scrolled or touched in the last 2 minutes.
  • The attack page no longer collects fight text in the background. Text from an unfocused tab is dropped, not saved for later.
  • The Planner tab now says your key also goes to ffscouter.com when the 🍬 button is on.

0.7.7 (2026-10-20)

  • Focus check: a background tab makes no API calls, reads nothing and redraws nothing. Anything that came due runs once when you click back in.
  • Several open Torn tabs no longer poll the API at the same time.
  • Fixed basket tracking when your basket holds exactly 1 treat.
  • Upgrade ticking checked against a real 2026 basket page.

0.7.6 (2026-10-18)

  • Rebuilt treat and basket tracking, Halloween log scanning and per-account data (Queeny).
  • Stricter Xanax and overdose stacking schedule, fresher M'aol checks, updated flight times and data fixes (Queeny).
  • Upgrades now tick on the 2026 basket layout (Bohr).
  • Top-tier baskets read the lifetime "Treats Collected" banner (Bohr).
  • Open tabs no longer overwrite each other's saved data (Bohr).
