Holotower Emote Menu

Adds an emote menu to post forms on Holotower.

To activate click the button next to New Reply on the quick reply window or on the button next to "Emotes" in the base reply form. Emotes and channels are hardcoded to maintain sorting and styling.

Emotes can be resized and favorited in the [Options]

Version 1.45 adds the Emote menu to the base post form also. It works the same as the Quick Reply menu but keeps a separate height setting, and works from the board index which doesn't support Quick Reply when creating new threads.

Version 1.34 of the script adds Favorite Emotes:

  • Favorite Emotes are set in the Options. Clicking a channel lists all their emotes, clicking the emotes will add/remove them from Favorites.
  • Sort Favorite Emotes through drag-and-drop, both in Options and Quick Reply. Auto-sort sorts them according to the default category/subcategory/emote order.
  • To remove Favorite Emotes drag them into the Remove section, or hold Shift while clicking them, or click "Clear All".

Version 1.33 of the script adds an Option menu and the ability to favorite or hide channels:

  • favorites are listed at the top
  • hidden entries don't show up
  • can export/import/reset settings as a string from Options

Version 1.15+ of the script can load missing emotes and channels directly from the site:

  • on load, the script checks the remote emote_list.json. If it has been modified since last time, checks for emotes/vtubers that aren't present in the hardcoded database, and they are added to the list and remembered until the json or script are updated again
  • new emotes for existing vtubers are added to the end of that vtuber’s list, unsorted
  • new vtubers are added to the last subcategory of the final category (Others > Others), unsorted
  • this keeps basic functionality and a full list of emotes/vtubers synchronized with the board without requiring manual updates to the script, however for proper styling and sorting the script's database will need to be manually updated
